Sun & Rain

At the same time , Sun & Rain , bright and sunny with some large drops of rain coming from up slope and sunshine from across the sea. I’m glad for the umbrella this afternoon. The Myna birds are going off chirping and cackling away as the sun goes down. Its a nice time of year the nights are cool about 65 and the days still around 80 or so. There is some snow on Mauna Kea , haven’t seen it the top is covered in clouds , it can get windy way up there and cold but we are this year going to voyage up. A couple of the older boogie boards to slide on and as much clothes as we can wear. Several years ago the boys and I went up only to discover that we had forgot any long pants for Chris , they were only 5 or 6 and much smaller , so a extra big sweat shirt was fastened up along with some big socks . It was pretty funny looking but it worked of course we would go out for 5 minutes and then back in for some car heater and lasted maybe 20 minutes . That was the last time we were up there, the guys are bigger now so we can see how long we can last. Some one had brought a lot of snow down the other day in the back of their pickup up and put a snowman on the side of the road it looked pretty good , a few hours later just a hunk of ice remained.

Time to put up some more lights , see a mini art show below.

Snowman

The snowman rises , up on the roof , all lit up finally . Kyle and I got the lights going not all of them but a lot. You can view the totally exciting video on my page it is thrilling. :) Another great day sunny with some wind and a little rain in the afternoon, missed the sunset , was on a light hanging mission , there will always be another one tomorrow.

It’s the time of year to do small acts of kindness , ones that help , ones that no one knows who did them. Good deeds that are unplanned and not asked for. The ones that put a little sparkle on your soul. I had read once about the two types of good deeds ones that are done for the fame of doing them, the ones that are done so people can say oh that person did this or that aren’t they great. Or the unplanned good deeds that are done on the spur of the moment because something is there that should be done .
Those I think are the simple acts that change the world for the better.

Joy and Good tidings , Steve
