Report from South Kona

Even though it’s a monday several little things worked themselves out today , all regarding work mainly , and its was nice to have them come together. Its all hustle bustle around town , that holiday panic , not the semi mellow day as usual . Cool in the mid 60 s at night and some snow up on Mauna Kea , the wind is howling up there or we would went on a mission up to the top this weekend , maybe next if the snow holds and the wind slows down. The Vog is back in so the sunsets have been so so this week . The next thing is for dinner , thinking of a ham for a Christmas dinner change and a bread pudding with raisins . One turkey a year is enough . Tuesday is not my favorite day for a holiday , always have to go in to work the next day saturday is my favorite or sunday , monday is easier to ditch out on than the other days.

Before it gets too late those kids need dinner, some quick pasta sounds good . The last of Latte is gone the cat and the kids are screaming for dinner so off I go.

A exciting day cutting down a tree, not a nice tree but a big weed tree , it was a little tricky pulling it with ropes so that it didn’t nail the house next door. Down it came all 6 big branches , one of those things with soft wood that cuts and breaks easy, they were already at angles starting to fall too big for that type of plant. Also the last few lights went up, the ones that still worked, so unless I get a hair and buy some more that should be it.

After hauling a good part of the tree away off to pebble beach for some fun. The water was great very warm and clear. We are still waiting for the Whales, they are here or start to arrive about this time , late this year . They can be heard at night bellowing and breaching down of the beach often you can see them from shore splashing up and crashing down as they cruise the coast. One big one comes every year and makes this sound like a elephant sounding off thru out the night. The sound of them sounding ,blowing out air goes on all night . Its fun to sit out on the deck when its quiet and listen to them all.
