Report from South Kona

Watch how much better the Lava looks after dark.

The first day buzzing around in the little KIA with my pole hanging out the back window and a big blue tarp covering the back seat with all my stuff back there. Hopefully this car will hold together its a used rent a car bought up by the local car rental and is a great price its had a hard little life . It does go ok though it check engine light just stays on and it tends to stall no and again .

The vog let up a little , the area of eruption is just out side the Park in a Natural area preserve rhat has been closed off . Part of the park is still closed but no real action. If there does happen to be surface flows forming that are some where you can get to a lava mission will be called for .
