Report from South Kona

Woke up in the middle of the night with a sore throat , had a little worry after last Aug as that was how that whole scene started , it was gone this morning after a few doses of oscillococcinum . It really does keep the flu at bay and it goes away fast. Slept in and went out for a little work just so i won’t fall too far behind.

The car worked well today , I found out that there is a transmission release button that has been removed and if you put a pen or small object in you can still push it. Why is that button gone on all these cars , who knows. Any way no more sagas today.

Our water came, almost filled the tank to the top , now a big rain storm can arrive and overflow it Hot today and very sunny , a few clouds up slope with just a light breeze blowing . Tinkling the chimes away. Lazed around keeping this cold away watching old 1960s Doctor Who’s and reading a little.

Just one Glitch
Current mood: distractable

Made it with just a slight glitch , the transmission froze , stuck in park . All was not lost , with some hard pulling the shifter just made it to reverse and with a little help backing out , Once on the flat a little whirl and grind , and back in action. Ok now no parking on any grades just flat. I miss my little truck.

The weather has cleared up and it was a nice sunny hot day, not much surf coming in this morning. By the afternoon it had picked up some and the weather report is a north west swell hitting the northern Islands with a high surf advisory . A couple of days and it will make it here , with some luck I can get my truck back and hit this next swell. It really has been a good surfing winter so far , one swell after another. Still some vog hazing out the sunset and no rain in a couple of weeks. The old water tank is getting very very low , a load will have to be trucked in tomorrow. So it should pour tomorrow night and over flow the tank, hahahaha. We will get about 6000 gallons for 250.00 dollars. Maybe twice a year I get water and like to hang on till the last moment though with how dry it is and the garden to water old Lehua water will be cruising by .
