Report from South Kona

Light rain trickling down on this Friday night, since just about sunset, not much going on in the neighborhood . Half way cleaning the kitchen and watching a little Doctor Who in between. In motion with all these little projects , cleaning out the kitchen , switching the old camcorder tapes to digital, getting the hedge ready to plant all these and I bet we ditch out and surf or fly some kites .

Chris gets home soon , on Monday , all the kids on the street miss him no matter what Kyle says .
hahaha . They ask every day when will Chris be back it’s just not the same without him. Made some nice pasta tonight with a sauce with the peapods , zucchini and mushrooms . Just a little Sweet Italian sausage added in .

Missed getting some nice Ahi Tuna that one of my customers caught. Next Thursday i know now to get there quick before its gone. We would have had to clean it , then slice up some fresh Shashimi.

Sat around on the deck watching a DVD on my laptop and drinking lattes throughout the evening . The plan was a oerhvaul and cleanup , but I started watching Rendition and got way way side tracked. Now maybe something lighter , some classic Doctor Who , no scary dreams.

Ordered a new battery for my lap Top , the old one was acting up , tries to get it on warranty but couldn’t pull it off. hahaha My new sci fi book Little Brother by Cory Doctorow has been shipped, it was pre ordered before it came out. Still waiting for my pants that were ordered from England , special ones made from old army tents , for real , by Stabo this little cpmpany over there.

Good ole Chris gets home on Tuesday from England , what if he comes home with a british accent !

Down loading my daily collection of podcasts on to my work ipod , not going to goof around too long like yesterday . hahaha My old ipod mini is the one that goes to work , the new video ipod still gets the safe treatment and isn’t used that much yet , mostly on weekends . Still dogging on getting a program so that videos can be put on it that don’t come from Itunes . Google videos can be down loaded onto it for free , the problem is that the voice sync is off on them.

The vog is getting a little bit clearer and the horizon is starting to become visible again , its getting nicer to sit out on the deck for sunsets again. They still are not back to usual but getting there. Flat as a pancake , no waves , geeze I haven’t been surfing in a couple of weeks my board isn’t even on the truck.

Forging ahead with little projects , the kitchen is next a major cleaning and construction of a couple of new drawers . After that a weed eating of the back yard and planting of a new hedge on the other side of the house. It’s ready and I have plumbed in a new water line so a irrigation line can be run and the plants won’t dry up like last time and not take.

Also the old 60s board opu is in need of some patching to get in ridding shape , unlike Big Red that needs some major reworking , opu just needs a few dings patrched and the nose resealed, perhaps a leash plug so that if it gets away a untimely end will not happen on the rocks

Better get going , Chris gets home on monday hurray , There is a pic of him in London and some very cool photos.

Goofing off and need to get going, it’s so nice and peaceful that going off to work seems like a horrible sin. Duty calls and , well one more Latte then I will motivate and get going. I am getting a lot of little projects done that I have been , well procrastinating on doing , this little repair and that little job.

There is no surf at all again and still the vog hangs out , clearing a little here and there , we need to get down there and do a little first hang viewing to check it out. Kyle and i have wanted to go on a little camping mission . All this kite flying has us all jazzed up about it , thought about camping down at south point like the fisherman do , but its just so windy. We can deal with almost any weather but heavy wind can get unpleasant after a while.

Garden report , going strong the lower patch has all sprouted and will be big enough for another video report soon. The peapods have still been going strong , getting about 10 to 20 pods a day.
There is a few small flowers and fruit on the tomato plants , the birds may just get a lot of them but with some luck they may work out. The green bean plants are taking off and the zuccinni has spouted just needs to be trained to go down the little rock slope.
