Report from South Kona

Off on my own , the first day of school for the boys , so no Kyle along anymore . I can shift now the arm is a little better , still can raise it above my head . Yes I have been dogging on the exercises and stretching , really need to get going so I can paddle out again . Getting a little stir crazy now not being able to do the things that I like , plus this new kite is always calling , plus I haven’t been in the ocean all summer now.

Pretty sunny and clear most of the morning and then the cooling afternoon clouds rolled in . Lucky no waves to taunt me and my bum arm. . Worked all morning and then went to physical therapy this afternoon where they did some pulling and stretching out the scar tissue . That does hurt some but i don’t care just so my arm gets working soon .

Boxes , peanuts , paper , bags and various messes are the aftermath of the assembly of the computer . Bits of this and that everywhere in fact the whole house is in a state of destruction . Summer break is over tomorrow is the first day of school , back to getting up at 6a , The nights of staying up to all hours are over for now. The big eight grade top of the middle school another year at Konaweana .

My arm is slowly getting more use so with some luck I can get the house in some type of order . Everyone hates it but if the chance is there things of various types will be left and thrown willy nilly about the place . A movie will have to made when we clean their room its so bad , its true you have to wade thru it and thats not a exsageration, crap is everywhere. Its was planned to be cleaned just about when my arm got hurt.

I have more time when school is in too , with getting up early and out of the house sooner , the guys going to bed early . There is more time for me to hang out and do my hobby website and goof around on the computer. Most of the last two weeks has been work and just barely keeping it going making dinner so late 9p and then suddenly its midnight and time to crash out. thats why I didnt get so much time to blog and chat .

Well the vog came back in to town today it looked like it foggy , not here was pretty clear , the afternoon rains have stayed keeping us with a steady supply in the water tank. Thats enough winning for now .

His big gaming computer that he assembled himself , with just a little help .

After a missing cable stopped us and a few set back like the missing disk drive , a place in town just gave us the cable we needed . The problem of getting the power supply hooked up to the mother board , it was very hard to push in , solved it self just after I emailed the support desk . One of those Murphy law things in reverse So after a little adjustment of a cord Kyle’s Computer started up and worked , big old fans going and blue neon lights inside. He has done it and built himself his gaming computer. He has his , oh god windows , loaded and is playing a game . We just need a couple of things done so he can go online tomorrow and really go wild with his games. He worked everyday this whole summer and has to go to school , shhh we are not supposed to mention it till the night before , on Thursday so he is going to stay home and game all day. My arm is good enough to shift now , but I’ll miss having him with me it has been a fun summer of pools and lunches at L & L BBQ , Kyles favorite spot for spam musubi , and they have a good Koren Chicken there . Test swims at the pools and his various cat friends around the route. It was a pretty good summer break even though the camping and kite flying marathon had tp be postponed.

The mornings have been very hot and sunny a little humid with afternoons of clouds and some evening rain. The vog has let up some but I haven’t really looked at the volcano report in a couple of weeks. Some light rain most every night keeping the tank near the top we did make it with having some delivered. They have raised the price way up of a load of water way up to like 280 a load . The garden has come back some what , did just a small amount of work on it . The basils have all come back very well with all the rain. Strawberry’s mostly made it and a out of control tomato plant has taken over the lower part . The carrots still going and some pepper plants and lemon basil. The birds are getting the small green tomato’s since there hasn’t been many . The rest of the yard is a total mess.

Kyle did he built himself a big old 4 gig computer and it works, a little over budget , very very cool and sleek. Now he will be a gaming manic and the black sheep in this house of Macs . lol .
