Report from South Kona

The day went by mostly watching the Olympics and making fresh blueberry pancakes with some real maple syrup . The batter came out well , no package use , Kyle mixed it up he does well at it we just use the pancake batter recipe from the Betty crocker cook book but put in baking powder and soda just for fun . A nice cast iron flat griddle works best the trick is to get the right temp , not too hot and a thin coating of butter . I like to spoon out the batter and let it cook for just a bit till the berry’s are sprinkled on . About five per pancake never a even number always odd it looks better . This time for once I had the first batch when Kyle wandered off . A nice little three cake stack with butter one each one as they are stacked then some Maple syrup. Its a sin to use light syrup please don’t do it just use a little less of the real stuff .

The Olympics are fun to watch , but the coverage is sucky , they need to show the sports and not so many little bios and wasted jabber LOL The womens bicycle race thru the rain was very exciting and fun the watch today . Mostly just did nothing today except a store run to get some things for Chris he needed for school , paper towels , hand soap , cleanex that he still didn’t have yet . also got a couple of things to change some of the beans I made yesterday into chili . it can be one of those self serve dinners for tonight . Grab a bowl grab some rice and there you go .
