DNC: UNCUT Police slam CodePink to ground

Thanks to You Tube and other formats these criminal abuses of power are being recorded. Why was the guy , who was calmly speaking to the Police officers , grabbed by the neck and thrown to the ground ? The poor girl blatantly assaulted and when the news was about to get her story suddenly grabbed to be kept quiet. Keep your camera ready and perhaps justice will prevail .

Pele’s hair

Thin strands of volcanic glass drawn out from molten lava have long been called Pele’s hair, named for Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes. A single strand, with a diameter of less than 0.5 mm, may be as long as 2 m. The strands are formed by the stretching or blowing-out of molten basaltic glass from lava, usually from lava fountains, lava cascades, and vigorous lava flows (for example, as pahoehoe lava plunges over a small cliff and at the front of an `a`a flow). Pele’s hair is often carried high into the air during fountaining, and wind can blow the glass threads several tens of kilometers from a vent. Hundreds of strands of Pele’s hair intertwined on the surface of a pahoehoe flow at Kilauea Volcano, Hawai`i. The glass strands were erupted from Mauna Ulu, a shield that formed on the east rift of Kilauea between 1969 and 1974.

Pele’s tears

Small bits of molten lava in fountains can cool quickly and solidify into glass particles shaped like spheres or tear drops called Pele’s tears, named after Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes. They are jet black in color and are often found on one end of a strand of Pele’s hair. Assorted shapes of Pele’s tears collected a few kilometers downwind from Mauna Ulu from along the Hilina Pali Road on Kilauea Volcano, Hawai`i. U.S. dime for scale in lower right.

Three Day Weekend

Very very sunny all morning , the horizon was visible , bright sun light beating down . Still haven’t found a hat that I like , really need one now that the sky has cleared out a bit . Couldn’t surf yet anyway but there is not a drop of surf coming in just just calm seas perfect for a swim , that I can do , or a snorkel . the big three day weekend is coming up , all the Harley will be out in full force cruising around the Island from plate lunch stand to plate lunch stand :) . Because this is the largest Island of the chain , there is a lot of cruising to be done and a big circle Island trip is pretty fun .

Most likely will bug out of work on Monday, the boys have a three days off , we had thought of camping but may just do a big day trip up North to Hawi . You know I haven’t been up there in several years now and it is time for a trip .There are some meadows up here and several neat spots to visit like this still almost intact Hawaiian Village . The birth place of King Kamehameha and a cool little old Hawaiian style town with a chocolate factory . Did you know that cocoa beans here ! We are all wild here with the coffee , chocolate and other farm products , lol . Who knows maybe we will get a hair and head to Volcano anyhow but South Point is out for now after the incident . Madam Pele may not want me to visit there for a while . Madam Pele is the Volcano and the spirit of the island so it’s good to heed any warning that may come around . After you have lived on the Big island a long time you sometimes witness strange and unexplained happenings .

One more day of work , planning to power out and not work on Saturday, three days of Kite flying , swimming , adventuring and fun .

Peace and Love Steve Mr Jones

Sizzle

Sizzle
Crackling hot this morning , Wednesday is the day that I get to spend the morning up country , sunny as can be the sun blazing down . Not a drop of swell , flat as can be , just a few swimmers and snorkelers on the water . In the early afternoon the vog rolled on in and now a good rain is falling. Cooling down things a little , giving the garden a good drenching and a little fill on the tank . Of course that slipping liner may be affected . Yiks .

Such a pleasure to get home and have a espresso machine again , this one is working very well so far , the steaming device works great . I usually like to steam the regular way , but this attachment draws the milk up thru a hose and steams in right into your cup . It does take some cleaning up as in running water thru it so the milk go off . Also the decalicifier needs to be used to clean the machine out , some thing that I have to admit that wasn’t done on the last machine . The trouble being this one makes a little better latte , tempting people to make perhaps too many . :)

The rain coming down pretty damm good right now letting a cooling breeze flow around so i might just go sit under the deck on the picnic table and chill out .

Peace & Happiness Steve Mr Jones
