Report from South Kona

Back once again to Aloha Friday , a bit of a chill in the air , cool rain falling since dusk . For a time tonight the whales were slapping and the one big Bull that comes around every year and trumpets loudly at night . Sitting for a while on the picnic table with the lantern going for light .

Fender benders abounded around town today , three while going up and down this one road . Cars rolling on past stop lights . One plowing on by with a flat tire just driving along . lol One of those weird driving days when have to be ready to avoid mishaps that tend to be occurring all around . Traffic all backed up and weird today , the kind when it’s good to make it home and stay put .

After quick sanding a bit and a little morning nap after the boys left for school , well a nice hour or so . lol Waking up with a bit of a late night youtube session the last few nights . Watching the most hilarious old British show about Jeeves a very proper butler along with Bertie Wooster his employer . Who being one of the idle rich of 1930s England manages to get into this and that social adventure . While staying at country estates and seaside resorts avoids getting engaged to variuos nieces of Earls and Lords . While Jeeves comes up with a plan to save the day , enjoying the antics of idle rich and often stiring things up for his own amusment . lol So thats the morning nap thing from waking up and vaping a bit .

Wheat grass has been out for last couple of days , been left with just getting a smoothie . Really into the wheat grass now , I like my midday shot with the little orange wedge , it does give a nice feeling of well being . So far all the colds and flu has been avoided , it may be a fluke but I do feel much better . A light sweet taste , just a bit of the aroma of fresh cut grass , not hard to drink at all . The shots are just a ounce or two not much very easy to drink . Juiced fro these trays of well , Wheat Grass that they trim with a sharp knife . Then using a special juicer the liquid is extracted to order and shot right down . Try some if you ever see it !

Rolling up to the weekend , have a bit of a hair for some type of road trip or adventure . The open road calls .

Had my usual Tuesday , work , Wheatgrass and a Smoothie for lunch , got rolling a little late after a morning nap once the kids were off to school . lol
Good ole sunny morning with the breezes kicking in about 1p ruffling the ocean from the smooth milkyness of the morning surface . Jumping up here and there along the reefs a bit of surf breaks .

Made a sh!? load of burritos , you know bean for Chris and Meat for Kyle , bagged them and put them away in the freezer . They have been on a kick of the cheap bags of frozen ones for after school . They are kind of funky so I just made a batch myself , who knows whats in those micro wave things made in a industrial kitchen , yuk . As it is , the guys are just the same but completely different , both like burritos , one only meat and the other only bean .

All right now , brought home some fuel for the Iinhale , got it out and gave it a try after filling it up with the fuel and a bit of the holy sacrament . It was the first time that I tryed the vapor , being mainly a joint person , it was much better then expected . The little chamber is filled , switch on , push button and it starts to heat to about 190 the point before burning . There is no smoke just a tasty vapor that works very well . I made it a bit more confusing then it was but in the end had it figuered out . The trick is the temp. it has to be just right , not to hot to make smoke and hot enough to cause the vapor with out burning . After about three loads I may have it down but will need to keep practiceing with it to get it perfect . lol These are designed for the medical cannibis user who may not smoke , but many people are going to the vaporisers for the healthy way to have fun with out smoke .

Oh man look it’s almost midnight , must get to bed 6am is here fast !

Traveling home thru the Volcano National park this weekend all of Mauna Loa was visible . Below from the Nat. Park website .

Rising gradually to more than 4 km above sea level, Mauna Loa is the largest volcano on our planet. Its long submarine flanks descend to the sea floor an additional 5 km, and the sea floor in turn is depressed by Mauna Loa’s great mass another 8 km. This makes the volcano’s summit about 17 km (56,000 ft) above its base! The enormous volcano covers half of the Island of Hawai`i and by itself amounts to about 85 percent of all the other Hawaiian Islands combined.

Mauna Loa is among Earth’s most active volcanoes, having erupted 33 times since its first well-documented historical eruption in 1843. Its most recent eruption was in 1984. Mauna Loa is certain to erupt again .

Just a bit lazy , doing some catch up on a few things . Getting the boys settled down at night ( oh wait here is Kyle ” I finally get home , I have to go to sleep wake up go to school go to bed again, ” ) they want to push it later and later then are all crashed out getting ready for school . 6am that is the time, 630 is when and 5 minutes before the bus slap on some clothes . So now back again with some more crap to post . lol

My new vaporiser just came today for herbal aromatherapy . It,s the new Iinhale that I ordered from England , made in Ireland . Small and hand held it can travel and looks like a small walki talki lol . They take your favorite herb and heat it to just before combustion , making a vapor instead of smoke . No smell and one of the first high ( no pun intended ) quality . Almost stoped on the way home and got some of the butane that they run on but didn’t thinking it wouldn’t get here this quick . lol Test run tomorrow . .

Slid along on some very fun waves this afternoon . The swell now a little more managable , with still a bit of crunch on the bigger sets . Wind making it a bit bumpy and after all the waves , just a hand full of people out in the water . Cold on the first dip in the channel out from the shore , changing as after a bit the first wave rolls over and completes the emersion . Brisk with a bit of chill the wind now has the air cooler so staying low in the water now is the warmer way to be . The water warming once past the fresh water springs up by the shore line that chill the water there . Nice on a blistering hot tropical day , a bit chill on a cool afternoon . Caught several nice double up waves over the reef having a greaty time speeding along .

Lets start again , finished the whole thing rambling on then I had to restart firefox and lost the whole thing . $h(? lol . Here we go in with someone that is a little more lets say , aware of reality , and can be a little more independent of Corporate interests hopefully . That other guy is packed up and out the back door , goodbye and good riddenance . All the festivities and events looked like something that would have been fun to be at , more for being a part of a hudge massive crowd of happy people . Looked pretty cold though .

Wind still blowing from the north kept the snow covered top of Mauna Kea visible . A long white cap with the long massive slope of dark green rain forest with the sky clear and blue above . Waves are back to a mellow size
, breaking with a gusty on shore wind , white caps spraying mists across the ocean surface .

Taking advantage of the brisk afternoon winds , behind the public pool down at old airport , a wide grassy field that is my in town kite flying spot . Flying the bone breaker for a hour or so for a fun little break in the afternoon . Now being a little more aware of the power and danger , it’s a little more thrilling to fly . Though after the South Point incedent last June , I’m holding the lines in a manner to be released before being sent airbourne .

Pulling of the road home , at the Maigret Farm to get three pounds of their Kona Coffee , just roasted . They pick it all by hand from trees that many are some of the original ones that were planted from the first coffee farmers . Most of the work is done by them then they take it the roaster and bag it up . I have to prereserve it or miss out it goes pretty fast . Now I have three pounds of meduim roast Kona Coffee to go wild with , may have to hide it from Christopher he is also a little maniac with the lattes . My fault lol .
