Report from South Kona

That swell from the Typhoon off Japan came in and of course I had nothing but extra work . LOL Murphy’s law likes to kick in when you want to have fun . Bunch of repairs and stuff to do blah , blah , blah . I did get to watch a bunch of surf while we worked , should have listened to Ute and went out one Evening while she went up and picked up Kaylee from practice at school . There were some long hard days this week , but next week should be a little better . Since waves are starting again we can get some afternoon , evening surfing in . Ute is going to get some lessons , going to do some boogie boarding .

We went to help with the concession stand last night for Kaylee’s cheer leading team at the foot ball game . I don’t like foot ball but we have went just to see Kaylee cheer and help out . We had to work and got there a little late so they didn’t want our help . Bummer , we went to do that and to see Kaylee cheer . We hung out and watched all the people and Chris likes to go to hang out too . At least we got in free and didn’t have to work . The team lost very bad , and it rained , but I had a couple of ponchos and we were cozy in the warm night rain .

This morning , just getting ready to make a big Oven Puff pancake and have a little brunchy breakfast . Do some things that I have wanted to get done for what the last month . hahahaha . Still have a bunch of stuff to move , but have been doing other stuff . Got to have some fun . lol Down to take Dewey and go for a run and maybe a little hike down the coastal trail .

Plus I have been totally dogging on emailing several people that have turned up fom the past and others too , so anyway I hope to do those later today .

Chis decided to get a hair cut , so after school , along with Kaylee . We stopped at happy hair for Chris , he got his long unruley curls trimmed . LOL . Then we cruised into town so Kaylee could go to the dentist . I,m posting this from the waiting room . Chris is out side eating a candy pop , hiding out from the dentist hahaha . A swell is coming on , bringing waves , from a typhon off the coast of Japan . It’s just starting to pick up . There hasn’t been much surf this summer . Everyone will be out for this one when it comes in . Time to cruise home , Steve

Oh yes it’s been hot , hot and hot . One of the hottest times that I can remember . This morning just hanging out , potatoes in the oven , who is watching them ? LOL Put together a couple of YouTubes with the camping trip and the Farm Fair . stevejones420 on youtube or on stevejones420 , report from south kona . Yesterday , Saturday was just pretty mellow ,made a giant oven puff pancake , we had that and sliced Mangoes . Then Ute and I went in to do just a little work , then in the still heat had a smoothie and cruised back home . To hang out with Chris and geek out on the couch in the living room where its pretty cool . Ute changed it around on Saturday and he new arrangement is fun , perfect for hanging out all with laptops going . LOL

We had a simple evening making Chicken Burritos , then off to watch some episodes of Weeds , such a fun show , we are almost to season 5 . So anyway Sunday , a little beach day and some fun . There has been very little surf this summer and the wind has been still is this heat , just a swim maybe bring the Kayak along .

Sun Screen , Umbrella , Swim Trunks , Steve & Ute

So as we hit the beach on Saturday , down at Keei , my favorite spot to surf . Plus its a really cool beach , one where you can still bring the dog and hang out . There has been some waves going on and the afternoon had some nice ones wrapping thru . The bigger sets a little over head and breaking mostly at Middles with some good ones at the point that closed out just before merging with the Middle break . Stayed out a couple hours , Ute and Kaylee hung out and swam the sandy strip inside the reef . Dewey had a good time romping around and has started to swim out on his own .

Cleaned out the garage a bit on Sunday then we all loaded up in the truck , Kyle Chris , Kaylee , Ute and me and cruised down to the farm fair . There is no more farm in the farm fair anymore , just the carnival , the animals and produce area are no more . That was part of the fun , now even the water mellon seller is gone . That was part of the tradition to get a piece when you left to eat walking to the car . The kids burned thru the ride tickets pretty fast . I did jump on the upside down one with Kaylee , she was going to go alone the boys not big on the upside down ones . LOL . The high point was the little circus act from Venezuela , they did a super fun show , totally cool . I’ll put a vid of it with a little ride action too .

So all and all everything is going pretty well , it is really great being with Ute . We seem to always be doing this or that . Working on more free time and fun . Really , really ready for a kite flying mission . She wants to fly some strong winds and wrestle those kites thru the air . LOL
