Report from South Kona

Going and Going , work work work , cook cook cook, feed feed feed . Tonight I stopped at the Hawaiian Chinese BBQ for some to go . Cooking is fun , though every single night it can get to be not as much fun . Tonight I took a break ! Ah ha !

Christmas is sneaking up fast . I have a couple of things for the boys so far , need just a couple more . Dinner still needs to be planned a bit . The tree is up but just lights on it so far . We have the train ready for around the tree , just waiting for the final decorations before setting it up so the tracks don’t get all stomped on . LOL

One of my clients left me a big gift basket that has all this neat stuff in it . They are very nice always remembering me at Holidays with these nice things . So far that makes two , another one left me a nice roll up travel blanket .

So the weekend flowed by , Saturday spent down in town working some in the morning . Started the day right at Kahaluu , many people were out in the water . The water was smooth some waves now and again . many of them going by with out a rider . After running around a bit I hit it sown in the after noon . At first like Thursday and Friday , when by the time I got down to the water it was very windy . A strong on shore breeze blowing . I really should have went out those two days too . With the long work days and limited time before darkness fell , I punked out and didn’t hit the water . Anyway Saturday I,m glad that I went out , at first there was still a crowd in the water . Though once out many of the waves came to me . I was doing my usual lurking just inside the reef, catching the ones that roll up a bit and re form . The sun was bright and hot , water warm waves not giant but fun several rides through out the afternoon .

Fired up the BBQ again for some chicken , done is a kind of Jamaican Hawaiian style . A cross between Huli Huli and Jerk lol . They had some great green beans too , those went in a pan with olive oil and garlic , plus just a small bit of butter . With the rice cooker ready we had a nice little dinner with the green beans and Chicken .

After a few lattes Chris and I went for a mario cart session on the Wii and raced many of the courses . Battling the talented Japanese racers , who play a mean race . Then we got drawn into many episodes of Doctor Who . One of My favorites , Chris and Kyle too . Next thing its midnight and time for that late night spliff before retiring for the night .

Today Sunday , we continued on the clean up of the boys clothes . Getting rid of anything not used . Hurrah ! Fired up the BBQ again for some roasting of chillis for a new batch of Salsa , I have been in the habit of making some each weekend lately . Its the roasted Onion and chilis that make it . So tonight I,m stir frying the last chicken with some Bok Choi , the small baby ones , along with some carrots for color .

Started a projest that i have been wanting to do for a while . Converting all the old Analog movies to digital. There are many old tapes from the boys early years and it’s time consuming but I’m all set and just need a couple of new mini dv tapes . The hard part is going to be converting the large files to smaller format . The first couple I did are huge files . Yikes !

Round and round on and on , just the same old cycle . Town packed with all the racers and manics , bicycles running lights and jetting in and out of traffic . Plus just get up go to work , make dinner , keep the boys going . They have just been sitting home on the computers . Since I am at work all day they don’t get any motivation to go out . On the weekend I try to get them moving and out doors instead of gaming all day and night .

I end up spending most of my free time keeping them active as possible and then having very little life of my own . They are fun to be with and I try when the surf is going to sneak out in the afternoon for some waves . Since there has been no surf and after the three or so months of not going out I am a little stir crazy. Almost all of my old surf buddies have left or just don’t go out any more .

Though on Wednesday I had a nice afternoon hanging out at Ahh paradise one of my Bed and Breakfast accounts . Its back old rock bottom road at the very end and up a long drive thats much better then the road there . The new care taker was there and as all the guests left and it was a nice day we hung out for a couple of hours and ditched work . We enjoyed some of mother earths gift and had a nice talk . You know I spend so much time with the kids it was so nice to have a little time with a adult or at least some older . We had a wonderful talk about herbs and yoga ( I don’t know anything about , but she is a yoga teacher ) and how some people are drawn to the Big Island .

So I hope to be posting and emailing more , always I have plans to but by the time of dinner and getting everything settled . The procrastination monster takes over. All these great emails come to mind during the day , but later , laziness .

Plus check your voter registration , there has been alot of voter purging going on . There is a conspiracy of common endeavor by many groups to get low income and other voters off the rolls . In Colorado about 1 in 5 voters have been taken off the rolls . many states have some sketchy goings on so we have to make sure that a Ohio and Florida doesn’t happen again . Jeeze look what happened to everything because of those stolen elections .
