Whats Happening in the Garden

First flower on one of the Eggplants , there has also been a nice steady supply of Pea pods . Green beans and easy to grow radishes give a almost daily supply , the radish greens are very good thrown in with the stir fry . Radishes chopped very fine are good in Salsa and mixed in to a salad . This is a very small garden with a little time here and there put in . Right by the drive way it easy to do a little watering and picking a little something that can be used in dinner .

Chinese Bok Choi

Fresh from the small garden , grew at a rapid pace with very little trouble . Picked them this afternoon after noticing one just starting to send off a flower . Wasn’t expecting them to be ready so fast . Just the smallest bit of nibbling on one or two leaves , no pesticides were used on the plants .

Washed and cooked in a bit of oil , with some Sesame oil splashed on , dash or two of soy sauce , garlic and blop of oyster sauce . Stir Fried then at the finish a lid slightly smaller than the pan . Placed on top for just a minute of steaming . For the purest , serve with two scoops sticky rice .

Another bit of serenity , Moments

Hanging low on the lower patio , breeze blowing cool thru the shade . Warm sunlight dancing around the green leaves and fronds of the Coconut tree . Red , yellow . pink and orange with a bit of blue and purple flowers and foliage breaking the dark and light greens . Vapor going , Latte cooling , chimes tinkling ground slightly moist from the late night tropical rain . Sunday so easy to just be , feet sticking out in a nice warm sunny patch . Another bit of serenity , Moments .

Flashing white on the light blue midday sea , wind puffing up small caps and the still softly textured surface . The afternoon calls for a unplanned destination , perhaps with the Kites , since today most people stay in and many places are gloriously empty with few or no people . We don’t watch ( shhh it’s boring ) the whole spectacle .

Last night did a little BBQ making a kind of Greek Chicken , olive oil and Greek basil from the garden first with the chicken for a while . Butternut squash , split and each side filled with Olive oil and just a small piece butter , just about a teaspoon of Brown sugar . Placed on the fire first along with a whole bunch of fresh garlic still in the wrapper and a whole slightly sweet tropical lemon . As the chicken grilled , fresh green beans and broccoli were thrown on top with a few small sweet peppers .

After cooking the chicken was chopper up and tossed with the Vegetables. The garlic now soft is easy to squeeze out , little soft roasted cloves of happiness . The Squash now soft is spooned in a bowel a bit of the garlics and a squeeze of the lemon , now filled with a soft carmelized lemony goodness after roasting , mixed in . The rest of garlic and lemon mixed with the Chicken and vegetables tossed about a bit . The squash came out sweet , with that nice butternut flavor and didn’t last long .

The garden has some new things coming up , here come check———–
